I have been working at IDL Industries full time for more than a year, people who have a strong work ethic and show up to work on time, are willing to learn and grow will excel here. If you need a job to make some money, are interested in learning a little bit about machining, this is a good temporary job to do that. There were many more issues that could be listed the overall theme is the management is lacking, and the employee suffers for it. This led to much strife and destruction of morale. This employee, despite multiple recommendations from supervisory staff that he be removed due to his toxic nature, was not only retained but continued to be paid the same as others doing more and better work. For example, there was a majorly under-performing employee who could not do basic tasks without constant supervision. The evaluation was entirely subjective and prevented fair and accurate evaluation of the employee's performance.Īdditionally the supervisory and management level have a lot to learn about employee retention, care, and management. They also began to micro-manage at every level below supervisor, using "employee performance evaluation forms" that had no concrete standards. They refused to allow overtime and came up with "training hours" at a flat rate of 10/hr to offer employees who needed extra time/money to compensate for the unlivable wages. However pay scale did not adapt to changing circumstance or increase with time or experience which quickly made advancement and work/life balance unmanageable. In the time I worked there, they did not have benefits but paid reasonably at entry. This place is hurting for people due to their bad employee policies and relations.
